​Inspiring views of mountains, hills and sea at Puerto Los Cabos are the backdrop for two magnificent golf courses designed by true legends of the game. Puerto Los Cabos Golf Course originally opened in 2007 and was a composite design consisting of 9 holes from the Jack Nicklaus design and 9 holes from the Greg Norman design. This unique opportunity will allow guests to experience the difference in designs. Never before has work from these great designers been used to create 18 holes. Capitalizing on the site’s natural beauty was a principal goal for both these champions. Both courses host a number of holes with striking elevation changes, making club choice and the control of ball flight of the utmost importance if a low score is to be posted. Golfers are treated to ocean views from every hole on the course, and with a variety of tee boxes on each hole, Puerto Los Cabos is both playable and enjoyable for all ability levels.

Puerto Los Cabos is proud to announce the new names for our three 9-hole courses, as part of the re-routing of the existing 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature Design as of November 1, 2022. The new Ocean and Vista course are a reshuffling of the existing Nicklaus I and Nicklaus II courses and is the implementation of Phase 2 of the routing plan that the legendary Jack Nicklaus envisioned when construction the second nine ( Nicklaus II ) and he finished his full 18-hole design in 2018. The vision was to create two nines which are more properly balanced, improving the flow and allowing us to convert two holes back the originally designed “Par”. For the food and beverage experience, the change provides players a more centralized experience for visiting the world-famous comfort station palapas that are located on the golf course.

The new names are:

Mission Course (previously the Norman Course). The newly named Mission Course is the 9-hole routing created by Greg Norman and was previously named the Norman Course.  This fantastic layout remains untouched and routed as it has since we opened the course in 2008.

Ocean Course (combination of the previously Nicklaus I & II Courses). The newly named Ocean Course uses the “lower” nine holes designed by Jack Nicklaus. For those familiar with Puerto Los Cabos, the new Ocean Course will consist of the first five holes from the old Nicklaus II course, in combination with holes 4-7 of the old Nicklaus I Course.

Vista Course (combination of the previously Nicklaus I & II Courses). The newly names Vista Course are the “upper” nine holes designed by Jack Nicklaus. Those familiar with Puerto Los Cabos, the new Vista Course will consist of the Holes 1-3, 8 and 9 from the Nicklaus I Course and holes 6-9 of the Nicklaus II Course.
